Lace it up

In all things fashion, trends make their way in and out of style… and then back in again! Just like this hippy, lace up number brought back from the 70’s – flared sleeves and all! This trend has taken off in the US and Europe and now its made its way to us in Oz. Although the 70’s were huge for floral prints and colours, this style has all the right vintage elements to work with a modern day, minimalist look.

The minimalist look is channeled in this look with dark indigo jeans and a sharp charcoal hat. But if you want to embrace your inner 70’s flower child then opt for this top in white, teamed with light wash, high waisted, flared jeans and a flower crown for the ultimate hippy vibe!

For a late dinner or drinks with the girls, team it with a pencil skirt, pointed patent heels and an elegant clutch, and you’ve made it from day to night. It’s a simple piece with some edgy touches, that make it perfect for creating lots of style options. Definately a staple worth the investement!

A Case of the Cape

IMG_9469IMG_9466  IMG_9467IMG_9468IMG_9465

It’s a cold Winter day and all you really want to do is cuddle up by the heater and never leave your couch, right? (Don’t we all?) And leaving the house is one thing but putting together a stylish AND warm outfit is a whole other thing!

In this case I always go for my cape! Who would think you could look so chic and fashion forward while feeling warm and comfy at the same time? Wear it loose like I have or belt the waist for a more structured look. Layer it over a basic tee or a fitted long sleeve knit for something warmer. The cape tends to drape down the leg so I’d suggest opting for an ankle boot so you’re not cut off at the knee. Add a felt hat and you’re Winter day ready!

Toasty Turtle Necks

On the hunt for that cozy knit this Winter? (I know you are, we do it every Winter!) Look no further than the turtle neck knit! Brought back to you straight from the 90’s, but with a modernized twist they couldn’t be more on trend this season.

An oversized baggy turtle neck knit, looks effortlessly stylish with skinny jeans and pointed flats for an easy go to look. Or opt for a fashion forward choice, with a cropped turtle neck, high waisted wide legs and a broad felt hat to make a bold statement.

Fitted crop, big and baggy, sleeveless or even a super comfy poncho – find the fit that suits your style this Winter.
